#1: Prepare for the Oklahoma Insurance Agent License State Exam
While the state doesn’t require a pre-licensing course, we highly recommend you take an All-Lines Training Oklahoma Insurance Exam Prep Course so you’ll be fully prepared to ace the state exam. There are many different license options for Oklahoma agents. The state offers a Property and Casualty license, so make sure you purchase the exam prep course that matches the license you’re interested in. #3: Submit Application for Your Oklahoma Agent License
You may apply for your license online through the National Insurance Producer Registry. Make sure you are applying for the insurance license you tested for. You can find step-by-step instructions on the Oklahoma Department of Insurance website.#4: Complete Oklahoma’s Insurance Continuing Education and License Renewal Requirements
Oklahoma insurance agents are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education courses every two years. You cannot repeat the same course within a compliance cycle and receive continuing education credit. Up to 6 excess credits can be applied to your next compliance cycle.- Three hours must be an Ethics course
- Two hours must be a legislative update course
