Become a Georgia insurance adjuster

I live in Georgia but work for an insurance agency in Florida and am required to get a 2-20 General Lines license. How should I go about doing that?

What you need is a Florida non-resident General Lines 9-20 License. This allows you to sell General Lines insurance in Florida even though you live in Georgia.

To get that, you first have to get your Georgia Property + Casualty License. Then you will be able to apply for the Florida non-resident license without having to take the Florida exam.

Georgia requires a 40-hour pre-licensing course and then a state exam through Pearsonvue. Our course is approved by the state and fulfills the pre-licensing requirement. So you would need to purchase that here: https://alllinestraining.com/georgia-insurance-agent-license/. Once your pre-licensing requirement is complete, you can go on to take the exam and apply for the license. And then, once you have your Georgia license, you apply for your Florida license.

Our course is 100% online and as soon as you buy it you can access it through our classroom. There’s also no expiration date (unlike most of our competitors), so you can take as long as you need to work through it. And our customer service team will be happy to help with any questions as you work through the process!
