    Earning Ethically discusses the history of ethics, agents’ ethical responsibilities, unfair practices, and uses case studies to apply ethical principles to insurance scenarios. This course is approved for general CE hours and does not satisfy the Illinois ethics CE requirement.

  • What are the continuing education and renewal requirements for Illinois producers?

    Resident insurance producers are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years. You cannot repeat the same course within a compliance cycle and receive continuing education credit. Excess credits will be applied to your next compliance cycle.

    • Three hours must be an Ethics course

    Producer licenses are renewed on the last day of your birth month.

    You can renew your license through NIPR.

  • What are the fees to obtain an Illinois producer license?

    • Application Fee: $215
    • Exam Fee: $92
